All that editing, proofreading, typesetting, ISBNs, barcodes, mobi, epub talking can seem a little daunting, but help is at hand. We offer a comprehensive new publisher start-up package, where we take your book from first draft - or reassessment, if we already assessed it - and prepare it for print to the highest industry standards, through a range of editorial and prepress services in a matter of weeks. All you have to do is think of a name for your new publishing house.

And while we're an accredited supplier of The Independent Publishers' Guild, helping new authors just like you start up on their own, you know your book is in good hands.

How does it work?

You submit your manuscript in full for a no obligation quote. We return within days with a comprehensive quote and proposed turnaround, which will include (as required) assessment (development of manuscript at the levels of story, narrative, style, characterisation and marketability), copy-editing (following revised manuscript from yourself), typesetting (if printed), epub/mobi conversion (if e-published), proofreading and cover design. We will also register your new imprint and acquire an ISBN for your first title. Your ready-for-print book is now ready to go to the printers of your choice and start selling.

Why is being a publisher better than publishing through a self-publishing company?

When you're the publisher, you are in control. You are the one to give your approval on everything, from cover design to the price of your book. With a self-publishing company, you are limited in what you can choose for your book. You might be offered a template cover design, your book might be priced much higher than you expected, thus reducing volume sales, the editorial standards might be lower than expected. The return on investment is also likely to be lower with a self-publishing company, as royalties are paid per sale.

Montblanc Generation pen is available on new orders placed on/before the 31st of January 2012 on full start-up packages only. A full package includes, but is not limited to, manuscript assessment/reassessment, copy-editing, proofreading, typesetting and conversion to mobi and/or epub, cover design with/without integrated barcode, ISBN and new publisher registration, publisher logo and four-page website design.
