Manuscript Assessment

Send us a synopsis and three chapters of your work or the entire manuscript and we will read it carefully, write a detailed report and send it back to you. Please enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope if you want us to send the manuscript back to you. If you want us to send you the report only, there is no need for a SSAE. However, we highly recommend you to keep a copy of your work for yourself, as we cannot be held responsible for things missing or damaged in the post.

You will receive our detailed report (around 8 pages, depending on the length and requirements of the manuscript) in no longer than 3-5 weeks. This is an outstanding period for the UK literary consultancy market. The report will contain an overview of the entire work, structure, plot, characters etc, as well as a technical approach of the writing, narrative voice, pace, tone, point of views, consistency of style through the entire book etc. We won’t forget about the relevance of the title/titles and, finally, we offer our suggestions on the next steps to be taken, including recommended books and studies.

If you think your book is ready to be submitted to an agent or even to a publisher, we will offer help you prepare the presentation file at no extra charge, so you can take advantage of the best impression your work creates when it reaches its destination.

After you amend your work according to our suggestions (or not), we are glad to re-read it for half the initial fee and provide you with a second report. Market Assessment for International Writers

We provide this service to non-UK authors who have already published their books in English and are willing to promote, distribute or publish their books in the UK. Please submit your published book together with a synopsis and any reviews or any relevant information that might contribute to the market score of the project in the UK. Our reports will contain solely notes on the marketability of your book in the UK. If we consider it worth a proper look from an agent, we will offer you our free agent submission service.

Recommendation to Agents and Publishers

It’s tough to find an agent to represent you. It’s a lot harder than most first time writers would expect. But that’s what we’re here for. We’re here to help you convince a good agent to represent you in front of a good publisher, so your books get published and sold. It makes a world of difference for an agent to receive your manuscript together with a professional recommendation from literary consultants.

It’s unlikely you will find an agent straight away and it’s even more unlikely you will find one on your own.

But it’s more than likely that your book will eventually get better and will turn into a valuable if not great piece of work. No time to waste then, we will make sure that you find out in real time about our decision to recommend you to an agent. We are an independent company, so we won’t privilege any agents/publishers. Our choice will be based exclusively on the theme and quality of your work. We may choose an internationally acclaimed agency or a smaller one. We may choose a huge publisher or we may choose a small self-publishing company. One thing is for sure, we will never charge you for this service.

Editorial Services: Editing and Proof-reading

A well-presented manuscript is a must for any submission to any agent/publisher in the world. If your manuscript is spelt wrong, has poor punctuation and bad page lay-out, it will never be given the chance of proper reading.
